About Rosie
Rosie is a chocolate lab mix with famously soft ears—everyone who meets her seems to want a turn giving them a rub, which she adores. She’s ten, but you’d never guess that from her energy and her zest for playing ball. Since her owner passed, Rosie’s been at the rescue thanks to a thoughtful neighbor, but what she really misses is having a family of her own. She spent her life with a calm male dog, and she still gets along well with mellow males. Dog friends are a plus for her. You’ll find Rosie to be crate trained and solidly housebroken—she’ll bark when she needs to go out, and she’s vocal about her enthusiasm for meals. On leash, she’s easy and responsive, and she’s learning to feel more comfortable in the car. Cuddling and being close to her people are big for her, and she thrives on both structure and affection. Rosie listens well and picks up new commands quickly. Her neighbor still checks on her, hoping Rosie finds that homey feeling again. If you want a devoted, playful, affectionate companion, schedule a meet and greet—Rosie is at her best in person and melts for anyone who’ll toss a tennis ball or share the sofa. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
