Lyric. Isn’t that an interesting name for a cat? People think we don’t have words, but that isn’t true, is it? You all know some very chatty cats, don’t you? And even when cats don’t talk, our bodies are saying something. I’m Lyric, a pretty, silvery grey girl who was found in my house along with at least four other cats after our person died. We went to a foster home to help us adjust before coming to the shelter. I am quite shy and often hide. I don’t object to being petted, when you can reach me, according to my foster mom. She said she has a camera in the room and was able to see me playing with toys at night when she wasn’t around to watch. I’m writing the words to my own song, and I hope someday we can sing together as I become more comfortable with people. Once I see other cats in the shelter, how they interact with people, maybe I will become more confident too. (Hint: You can bribe me with Churu!) I would love to have a home again someday soon.
