Darling is a smaller cattle dog/Shepherd mix born in January 2021. She came in as a stray with another dog. Darling gets along ok with dogs smaller than her, but not so well with bigger dogs. Darling is very smart and aware of everything going on around her. She loves people and loves attention. Darling was adopted earlier this year, but her new mom had to move to assisted living and Darling couldn't go along. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Darling is eager to find a new family and start a new life - would you like to be her new best friend? All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
