About Hootie Sightless Sweetie
Hootie Sightless Sweetie is an 11-year-old tabby who’s gone from barn cat to total lap cat. Most of her life she lived outdoors, largely misunderstood, until high blood pressure (easily managed with a daily pill) led to blindness. Once she landed in Feline Network’s care, her affectionate nature came right out—she’s all about pets, lap time, and being close to her people. Hootie’s adapted beautifully indoors and navigates her foster home by memory, even making regular hops onto the bed at night to curl up at your feet. You’ll notice the big, wide pupils and stubby tail, along with her drooly contentment and those little lick-kisses when she’s in a loving mood. While Hootie can coexist with other cats and does fine with dogs, she mostly enjoys her own space and won’t hesitate to grumble, hiss, or swat (with no claws or teeth) if she’s not in the mood. She’s ideal for someone cat-savvy, especially used to cats who tell you what they want and when. Giving her medication is easy, and she’s house trained. Hootie comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and with a voucher for a free vet exam. Ready to meet a one-of-a-kind cat with a big personality? Your next nap buddy might just be Hootie. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
