About Lady
Lady and her brother Bennington landed in rescue at eight years old after surviving neglect and stressful upheaval—left behind when their owner had to escape an unsafe situation. Both came in fearful, matted, and wary, but consistent care has helped them decompress and reveal who they really are. Lady, a classic torbie with a strong, independent streak, stands her ground and calls the shots. She’s not afraid to act defensively if overwhelmed or unsettled, but when routine and calm settle in, she relaxes and becomes affectionate—purring, seeking pets, and choosing when to be near you. Patience, quiet, and respect for her pace let her personality come forward. Bennington is a big, vocal boy happiest with a person around. He craves daily connection, follows his human’s lead, and has proved surprisingly affectionate—the first to seek attention once reassured. Both are spayed/neutered, front declawed, and while they previously lived together, they aren’t bonded and can be adopted separately. Lady should join a calm, adult-only home, without dogs, where she can rebuild trust and confidence. She’s built her independence the hard way and will do best with someone willing to let her settle on her own timeline. These resilient cats are looking for the stability and compassion they’ve missed. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
