Griselda has overcome significant health issues due to allergies and requires ongoing care, including a strict grain-free diet and daily medication. She is low energy, gentle, and affectionate, making her an excellent companion for a family willing to meet her special needs.

Once discovered as a stray suffering from extensive allergies, skin infections, and eye and ear issues, Griselda has spent months healing in rescue. She'll always need diligent care due to her genetics and chronic environmental allergies—her adopter must commit to an ongoing treatment routine, including a strict grain-free diet, daily Apoquel medication, regular medicated baths, and eye drops for chronic dry eyes. While these things come with extra expense and some patience on bath and drop days (she’s not a fan!), they keep her comfortable and happy. Despite these special requirements, Griselda will reward you with her gentle, affectionate nature. She loves everyone she meets, getting along well with other dogs, children, and really anyone in her path. Griselda is surprisingly low energy, preferring to spend her days quietly napping. She walks beautifully on leash, never barks, and is crate- and house-trained with regular potty breaks. One of her favorite things in the world is car rides—if there's an open car door, she's the first one in! While her unique kneecaps haven’t slowed her down, Griselda is an escape artist and needs a very secure yard. Only adopters with a true dedication to the breed’s special needs will be the right match for her, but she’ll be an endlessly loving and delightful companion for the right person.
