About Britta
Britta is a very sweet German Shepherd with a gentle spirit and a strong attachment to her people. After surviving a hard past, including an injury likely from shotgun pellets in her leg, Britta bounced back with the same resilience German Shepherds are known for. She's now safe in a foster home in Texas, where she gets along well with her dog foster brother, though she is clearly the boss—true to her diva breed reputation. Britta hasn't been tested with cats and hasn't lived with children, so she's best as the only pet in a quiet home. She loves her rubber bone toy and spends plenty of time playing fetch. Britta knows how to sit and shake paws, enjoys going on walks, and heels nicely on leash. Car rides make her anxious and she can be vocal, understandable given her history, but it's a manageable quirk. She is 8 years old, weighs about 60 lb, and is spayed, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Britta's adopters will need a securely fenced yard—her safety comes first. Currently in Houston, TX, Britta can be transported to approved homes in other states or even Canada. If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion who craves belonging, Britta is waiting. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
