About Zoey & Bubba
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Double the dogs means double the love and adventure! Zoey and Bubba are an irresistibly bonded pair looking for their forever home together. Zoey, the lively dapple/brindle tri-color girl, is 11 years young and still has a playful, puppyish spirit. Bubba, her charming golden dapple brother from a younger litter, is 10 years old and just as youthful at heart. Their mother, Shadow, is a purebred Dapple Dachshund, gifting both siblings a remarkable personality and zest for life. Zoey and Bubba have never been apart, so finding a home that welcomes them both is essential. The pair are incredibly affectionate with each other and with their special humans. While it might take them a couple of hours to warm up to new faces—Bubba is a bit more reserved and Zoey quickly takes charge—the bond you’ll form will be worth the wait! They love lap snuggles, yard adventures, and have a special fondness for chasing (but never catching) squirrels. At bedtime, you’ll find them cozy under the covers near your feet, with Zoey inching her way up for even more closeness. Both dogs enjoy the company of foster dog friends and use peepads indoors if the doors are closed. They haven’t interacted much with large dogs, but would likely bark if intimidated. Bubba is a devoted kisser—get ready for lots of enthusiastic licks! Their ideal home has a playful yard and children aged 6 or older. Zoey is about 11 pounds and Bubba 10 pounds, both up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. Bubba recently received a dental, keeping his smile bright. The adoption fee covers both pups, and includes a two-week trial period for approved applicants. All you need to do is fall in love with these two! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Zoey & Bubba
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Dachshund/Chihuahua mixes generally do well in a variety of living environments, from apartments to homes with fenced yards. They enjoy having space to play but are equally content snuggling indoors with their people.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
They appreciate daily walks and playtime in a secure yard, but their small size means they can also exercise indoors. A yard for active games is a nice bonus but not required if walks and enrichment are provided.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
These mixes are typically affectionate and playful, making them suitable for homes with respectful children. It's often best if children are old enough to understand gentle handling, usually recommended for kids 6 years and older.
