Oso
AvailableOso is an 11 year and 10 month old neutered male Border Collie with a long tricolor (brown, black, & white) coat, currently in Bullard, TX. He is house-trained and up to date on vaccinations. As a senior, Oso still enjoys being active but appreciates calm moments, and he is always seeking companionship.
About Oso
Oso has spent over three years waiting for a home of his own—over 1,000 days watching other dogs come and go while he stays hopeful and gentle. Even after the loss of his longtime companion Chico, Oso remains affectionate and eager for connection. He’s a Border Collie mix with an easygoing, joyful spark and a deep love for both play and companionship. Oso splits his time between lively yard zoomies, fetch, and quiet moments curled up next to his person at the end of the day. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, travels well by car, and enjoys the routine of family life. Oso does well with female dogs, though he’s selective with males and will need slow introductions. He isn’t a match for cats. For children, Oso is happiest with those who are dog-savvy and respectful of his energy and boundaries. A home with a yard and space to explore outside suits him best—he especially likes water. Loyal, resilient, and still soft at heart after his long wait, Oso is more than ready to find the family he’s spent years dreaming of. Located in Bullard, TX (with nationwide adoption and transport available), Oso is looking for the person who will finally bring him home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
