About Emily

Currently located in: Tennessee, arriving in New England and ready to go home around February 20th! Adoptable in: We can transport almost anywhere in the U.S. to an approved adopter! Good with dogs: Yes, as always, slow introductions when bringing a new dog into your pack.  Good with cats: Yes, as always, slow introductions are best! Good with kids: Yes. As always adult supervision is always required when kids are present! House trained: I'm a puppy so still training! I will have accidents, but with consistency and patience, I'll be trained in no time at all! Crate trained: I'm still learning! Meet Our Adorable Great Pyrenees / Lab / Red Heeler Mix Puppies! Each puppy has it's own profile! This is Emily - Female These sweet pups are about 10 weeks old and ready to start looking for their forever homes! They come from a litter of 9 total puppies — 4 girls and 5 boys — each with their own budding personality and a whole lot of love to give. This mixed breed combo brings together some wonderful traits: the loyalty and gentleness of the Great Pyrenees, the friendly, eager-to-please nature of the Labrador Retriever, and the intelligence and drive of the Red Heeler. These puppies are expected to grow into smart, devoted companions who will thrive in homes ready to guide them as they grow. Like all young puppies, they are still learning and currently working on potty training and crate training. They’re at the perfect age for adopters to help shape good habits through consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. Whiskers Fund has stepped in to support this family and is taking care of all veterinary care, as well as spay and neuter for both parents and all puppies, ensuring everyone gets a healthy start and a responsible future. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate puppy and are ready for the time and commitment that comes with raising one, one of these pups might be the perfect addition to your family. Adopt, don’t shop — and help give these deserving puppies the loving homes they’re waiting for. The adoption fee is $550. We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have met your new furbaby and are ready to bring them home. If you think you are the right home for Lucy, please apply to adopt him here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform Important Information: All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. We are very quick to respond and process applications! All animals are posted until they have gone home to their new family. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly and be prepared to welcome them into your home within a few days if you are interested. The Adoption Process: After our volunteers receive the application, they contact the potential adopter to set up an interview. During the interview they will:    •    discuss the animal the adopter is applying to adopt,    •    talk to the adopter about their experience with animals,    •    find out more about the type of animal the adopter is looking to adopt,    •    go over any questions the rescue may have regarding your application,    •    help find the perfect fit for the adopter's family and lifestyle,    •    and answer any questions the adopter has about the animal they are looking to adopt, the rescue, and how the adoption process works. As part of the approval process, we require 2 non-family personal references. Our volunteers contact both references and have conversations regarding the potential adopter. If we are unable to reach the references provided, additional references may be requested. We also require a vet check. We will call the vet to conduct a short reference check.  A video walk-through of the adopter's home (and yard, if adopting a dog) is also required. The safety of our animals is one of our top priorities. They deserve to have a safe and secure place to live. The video can be sent to the Whiskers Fund email address or Facebook messenger upon submitting your application. When submitting the video, please reference which animal(s) you are applying to adopt.  Once the adopter is approved and matched with an animal, we will make arrangements for the animal to go to their new home. We hope to have each animal in their new home within a week. We are very clear that we will be keeping in touch and checking in for updates. Interested in Fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! Thank you for helping to save lives!
