About Sabrina Indoor Only

Meet the strikingly beautiful Sabrina! Sabrina is estimated to be under one year of age. She was discovered roaming near Eight Mile and Marlette for several weeks. Although hungry and frightened, Sabrina was clean and in good health when found. Sabrina is an extraordinary young cat who truly embodies the remarkable traits of her unique breed. She is thought to be a Highlander mix (crossbreed of Desert Lynx & Jungle Curl), her tabby markings; straight ears and long tail variation are reminiscent of the breed. She is human-oriented, confident, intelligent, and playful, with an athletic spirit and a love for learning. Her short, soft coat is a stunning mix of stripes, spots, and rich colors that perfectly complement her golden-yellow eyes, vermilion nose, and expressive black-tipped ears. An energetic and enthusiastic player, Sabrina adores wand toys, feathers, string attachments, automated toys, and especially batting balls—she’s an excellent little soccer player! When she’s excited, her lower tail forms a triangle and she bursts into joyful zoomies, running, chasing, leaping, and jumping. This is her clear invitation to play. Sabrina thrives with interactive play sessions in the morning and evening and also enjoys relaxing in windows, intently watching birds and taking in the world around her. Sabrina has a wonderfully engaging personality. She may wag her tail when happy or excited, walk alongside you, investigate shiny objects, and “chat” using a variety of vocalizations. With the help of a tube snack, she’s learned to calmly accept brushing, nail trims, and ear cleanings. She’s also quite trainable and can sit, lie down, stand on her back legs, and even “speak” with a simple hand signal or treat. When it’s time to relax, Sabrina enjoys snacking, visiting, and snuggling. She loves gentle head strokes and soothing neck massages and can often be found curled up for a nap on or under furniture. She prefers drinking from a fountain and will happily join you in the bathroom for a sink visit—sometimes even washing her paws. Her active lifestyle is supported by three meals a day, with a strong preference for tuna and seafood flavors, plus daily snacks. As a medium-to-large, high-energy breed, Sabrina bonds deeply with her people when given structured playtime and positive reinforcement. She would thrive in a home that understands and embraces the lively nature of the Highlander breed. A dedicated companion or family, along with a tall, sturdy cat tower for scratching, climbing, perching, and sleeping, would be ideal for her. Sabrina is still learning, growing, and full of delightful surprises. Transitions may be a little scary for her at first, and she’ll need some patience as she settles in—but with a consistent play routine and loving guidance, she quickly comes out of her shell. She is truly an amazing cat, ready to shine in the right forever home. 💛 If you think Sabrina would be a perfect fit for your family, please submit an application today at www.secondchancekitty.org.
