Radar came back to the rescue through no fault of his own, and it turns out he knows exactly what he wants in a home. Heās a happy, goofy ball of energy who craves both physical and mental stimulation. Easygoing and light-hearted, Radar lights up around people of all ages and absolutely loves other dogs and cats. Heād thrive in a home with another playful, equally energetic canine buddy for constant companionship and lots of action. At 56 lbs, sometimes Radar forgets he canāt fit in your lap, but that just adds to his charm. With his Dachshund background, he brings that mix of cleverness and selective hearing but is eager to please and always seeking attention from his people. Radar has basic obedience down, is fully house trained, and does well on a leash. Heād do best in a home with a fenced yard to keep his adventurous side in check, though an invisible fence trained him previously. Heās working on his crate training and quickly learning itās a good place to wind downānot just time out. Radar is looking for humans ready to include him in adventures like hiking, running, or camping. He wants a family that understands the needs of a higher-energy young dog and will give him structure, affection, and opportunities to explore.
