Gracie
AvailableGracie is a young female Tabby looking for her new family in Alexandria, VA. She is medium-sized and prefers the company of other cats. Gracie would feel most comfortable in a quiet home where she can relax and enjoy life indoors.
About Gracie
Gracie was picked up during a TNR project at a feral colony, but her gentle and sociable side came through quickly. She was still young and, while a bit shy at first, warmed up to people who treated her kindly. Life outdoors wasn’t for Gracie—she was out in the cold and had to worry about finding food. Now, she genuinely appreciates indoor comforts. Gracie really enjoys the company of other cats and hopes for a home with at least one or two feline friends. She would feel safest in a calm, quiet environment—no dogs or small kids, please. Give her a little time to adjust and she’ll blossom in a home that’s not too chaotic. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Gracie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tabbies like Gracie are typically happiest as indoor cats, especially when the environment is calm. They do well in homes where they have opportunities for social interaction without too much chaos.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Gracie, as a domestic Tabby, does not need outdoor space and prefers a safe, indoor setting. Providing her with window perches or places to watch the world outside can be enriching.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Many Tabby cats can be great with respectful, older children. However, Gracie is a bit shy and would do best in a home without small children.
