He thrives with active, outdoorsy people who want a companion ready for adventure—whether that's hiking, running, or just spending hours outside. Kota loves people thanks to plenty of human attention from an early age and is working hard on his leash manners. He'll sit on command and makes great eye contact, picking up on direction quickly. Most of Kota’s personality leans towards the Lab: friendly, soft, and people-focused—but there’s a smart Shepherd streak too. Staff note he's particularly responsive to confident handlers and would do best with someone ready to take charge and give him consistent, positive guidance. Kota gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing in group settings. He does well with children aged 8 or older and appreciates a home where he isn’t left alone for long stretches—he bonds deeply when given time and attention.
