About Sunshine
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! If you are looking for a gentle soul to bring peace and warmth to your home, Sunshine may be the perfect choice. Sunshine is about 9 1/2 years old as of February 2026—a beautiful, orange Domestic Short Hair looking for a calm and loving forever home. Recently, both Sunshine and her companion Natalie returned to the rescue and have received thorough veterinary care: they're up to date on vaccinations, have had bloodwork with good results, and need no dental or further medical care at this time. Sunshine thrives best in a quiet space where she can gently settle and overcome her fears at her own pace. She would benefit from an adopter who can offer patience, encouragement during mealtime, and a safe, nurturing environment. The rescue will provide any necessary medical treatment for the first 90 days while she transitions, but the most important thing Sunshine needs is a lasting commitment and lots of love. While Sunshine and Natalie were previous housemates, they each prefer their own space, so they can be adopted together or separately. Both were front declawed prior to returning to rescue and need an indoor, secure setting. Sunshine is best suited for a cat-savvy home without dogs, and will blossom with someone who can provide understanding and reassurance. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
