Chipkoo is a delightful young pup who is still learning about the world, but is full of love, charm and personality. Friendly, gentle, and curious, once Chipkoo learns to trust his human(s), he shows his playful side. He is a fast learner and understands boundaries and redirections - he observes first, then decides when he feels comfortable engaging. He enjoys exploring and interacting with toys without being demanding. He would do well at a house that showers him with love and affection and big, hearty meals. He is super friendly with other dogs and playful at all times, but could also be an only dog as long as he gets plenty of attention. A fenced yard would be optimal, but he would be content with daily walks and plenty of play time. Smart and motivated to learn, Chipkoo loves good puzzle toys, peanut butter kongs, and chews. He knows to "sit", "stay", "come", and "into the crate." He is housebroken, with potty breaks every few hours (he's still a puppy), and at night he sleeps peacefully for eight - nine hours. Since he's still a young fellow, he would require adult supervision around kids as he learns his manners around children but he is learning quickly! Chipkoo is highly food-motivated, approaching meals with deep enthusiasm. This makes him easy to engage and eager to learn when treats are involved. Chipkoo is ready to charm your heart when he walks into your home with abundant love. HISTORY Chipkoo came into IAR as a stray who had been wandering in a neighborhood during the recent cold weather. HEALTH Chipkoo is underweight, but with healthy snacks and meals he is returning to a healthy weight. He is up to date on shots and will be neutered soon. PHYSICAL Chipkoo has a short reddish coat with white markings, beautiful hazel eyes and a sweet expression. He has long legs and tail, and ears that gently flop over.
