This precious family was sadly surrendered to our local shelter, but thanks to the good people at Wags and Whiskers, they have been swept up to safety and love. Sweet Baby Girl may be a little on the skinny side at 11.3 lbs (she should be around 15 lbs) but her spirit is as robust as can be! And those adorable babies? They’re approximately 4 weeks old and just around 2 lbs each! They’re bound to grow up to be as wonderful as their momma. However, while they might look strikingly similar to her, nobody knows who dad is, so it’s a little surprise party waiting to unfold! 🎉 This cherubic family is set to be ready for adoption in about 4-5 weeks; once the babies are weaned, vaccinated, and all snipped and spayed! Can you feel that warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart yet? This is what love at first sight looks like! 🥰 Now here’s the scoop: the adoption process isn’t a race! Wags and Whiskers won’t just hand these adorable bundles over on a first-come-first-serve basis. 🏃‍♂️ Instead, they’re looking for the perfect forever homes! There’s no fee to apply and with that, it’s a no-pressure environment. But let's get one thing straight: every animal needs a little time to adjust, so it’s not guaranteed that anyone will be fully house-trained right off the bat. New challenges can lead to accidents, even for the best of kiddos! 🌈 When adopting, there’s a $195 adoption fee. This covers the vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (including at least 2 for those little puppies!), deworming, heartworm testing (for those over 6 months), rabies shots (for those 16 weeks or older), AND spay/neuter services! Yes, you heard that right! These puppies will be altered before they go to their forever homes, and the rescue is all about pediatric spay/neuter. No exceptions, folks! 🙅‍♀️ For those puppies or dogs still waiting on their vetting, there’s an opportunity to reserve them with an approved application and a non-refundable $50 deposit, which will be credited to the adoption fee. Just remember, this deposit can only be made once the rescue makes contact about approval. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue, and they ask for a little patience as they lovingly respond to each inquiry and application.
