Chonkers
AvailableChonkers is a tuxedo adult female cat with a striking black and white short coat. She is considered large for her breed. Chonkers is spayed, house trained, and currently lives at Protect 4 Paws. Her vaccinations are up to date. Due to a significant heart murmur, she requires daily Atenolol and ongoing veterinary monitoring to ensure her continued well-being. Chonkers is best suited as the only cat in the home.
About Chonkers
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Don’t let her calm tuxedo appearance fool you—Chonkers is packed with personality and searching for someone who can match her unique spirit. After surviving years on the streets and the heartbreak of losing multiple litters, Chonkers landed safely in rescue thanks to a compassionate Good Samaritan. She arrived pregnant, gave birth to six fragile kittens, and sadly experienced a devastating loss soon after. Through it all, she’s shown remarkable resilience, and she is now ready for the loving, stable home she truly deserves. Chonkers’ journey hasn’t been easy. A significant heart murmur meant her care required extra attention: she’s now thriving with daily Atenolol, regular vet monitoring, and, in July of last year, she was finally spayed as promised. Her inner spirit shines through despite these challenges—Chonkers is supremely affectionate, playful, and deeply bonds with her people. She loves to gaze into your eyes, snuggle close, and is happiest being the center of human attention. With a passion for bird-watching, catnip, and window sunbathing, she’s an entertaining companion. Chonkers prefers to be the only cat in the home, likely due to her past hardships, and would do best without feline housemates. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and tested for Heartworm, FeLV, and FIV. To keep her healthy, she’ll need to remain on Atenolol daily and have bi-annual echocardiograms. If you’re ready to meet a cat who will love you with every ounce of her (steadily beating) heart, Chonkers is waiting for you! Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
