River is a 1-year-old male Lab mix with a fun-loving spirit and a whole lot of potential. He came into care because his energy level was a bit too much for his previous home, especially when he became overstimulated, but he’s been working hard on learning to relax. In calm, structured environments, River does very well and shows just how sweet and eager he is. He loves toys, walks with his human friends, and being social with other dogs. River will thrive with adopters who can provide daily enrichment, plenty of exercise, and a predictable routine. River is not a good fit for homes with cats or small animals, as he will chase them, and he has no known history with children, so a home without kids may be best. With guidance, patience, and an active lifestyle, River is ready to grow into a wonderful companion.
