Sadie is an 8-year-old survivor with a huge heart and an even bigger capacity for love. She was heartbreakingly left at the curb with a “free to good home” sign after her owner passed away. But this sweet girl has proven just how resilient she is. Thanks to a wonderful foster home and life-saving medical care, Sadie is healthy, safe, and ready for the forever home she’s always deserved. Sadie is deaf, likely due to long-term untreated ear infections before rescue, but don’t let that fool you; she is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She’s already responding to hand signals for sit, shake, potty, water, and mealtime, and she continues to blossom with consistency and positive guidance. Sadie is deeply affectionate, emotionally intuitive, and bonds strongly with her people. She thrives on connection and reassurance and has made huge progress in foster care. Sadie loves relaxing on the couch near her humans and will do best in a calm home where someone is around much of the time. Sadie is dog-friendly and happiest with confident, medium-to-large dogs who can help guide her socially. She enjoys being near other dogs and would benefit from a playful canine companion. She is not a good fit for homes with small dogs or cats. Inside the home, Sadie has wonderful manners and responds well to gentle redirection when she gets excited. She is fully housebroken and happiest when she’s close to her people. Outdoors, Sadie will do best with a secure yard and supervised time, as she’s very motivated to stay connected with her humans. Sadie is loyal, sensitive, and full of love. She’s looking for a stable, patient home that will continue building her confidence. In return, she offers deep devotion and a truly special bond.
