About Zeus Courtesy Listing
Zeus is a German Shepherd with a big personality, living in the Des Moines area. He’s almost 4 and was originally rescued out of a farm life to be an indoor dog. Zeus has had professional obedience training and responds to commands in both German and English. He's sharp and loves to be close to his person—very much a Velcro dog who gravitates toward confident, experienced handlers. He does best with an alpha owner and needs consistent leadership, since he’ll happily take charge if you let him. Zeus is neutered and all his vaccinations are current. He loves the outdoors, especially snow and water, and never turns down a walk. At night, he prefers his kennel—door open, just his choice. Zeus gets along well with other dogs; he currently lives with a female and has successfully been kenneled with male and female dogs. He has a strong prey drive and has not been around cats, so a home without cats or small animals is a must. Zeus can get mouthy around children under 10, so older kids would be best. Meet-and-greets with his trainer and current owner will help make sure it’s the right fit. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
