"He loves attention, and can't get enough hugs and kisses!" ****************************************************************************** PUP: CESAR | Born 2/10/21 1- FRIENDLY? Cesar is a people pleaser pup and loves everyone (men, women & children). 2- ENERGY LEVEL? His energy level varies. In the house, he is neutral, and overall we would rate him at about a 6 out of 10. He loves to play and run, but only to a certain point. We really wouldn't classify him as athletic, and he isn't a jumpy kind of dog. 3- AFFECTIONATE? Extremely so! This boy loves attention and can't get enough hugs and kisses. . Cesar loves being pet right underneath his neck and on his shoulders. He loves to snuggle, and will not hesitate to crawl into your lap and place his head on your chest. Bottomline: Around him, you will always feel loved! 4- GENTLE? Cesar is a big boy, yet very gentle. He is also quiet except for when he needs to go outside. He isn't that dignified, and is still very much a gentleman. He is basically a big house dog, and loves to be loved on. 5- SMART? He is a very smart boy, although not really that curious. 6- BRAVE? PROTECTIVE? Very protective and very brave. He has protected his person from some abusive situations. 7- WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT HIM? On days I didn't feel well, he would lay next to me, and if he ever felt I needed protection, he would lay on me. 8- WHAT DOES HE LIKE? DISLIKE? He likes to be sung to. He loves his stuffed animals (loves to sleep with them), and he enjoys playing tug of war. He does not like angry yelling or screaming. 9- WHAT MAKES HIM UNIQUE? His presence is warm and comforting. 10- HOUSE-TRAINED? CRATE-TRAINED? Yes, and yes. 11- STORM or SEPARATION ANXIETY? BEHAVIORAL ISSUES? None of that, although he does like being close to his person/people, he is comfortable in moments of being independent or alone. 12- HOW DOES HE WALK ON LEASH? He was accustomed to acreage, so he hasn't been on a leash that much. He is a good boy, and is ok on the leash. . 13- HOW IS HE IN THE CAR? Cesar loves a good car ride! 14- HIGH FOOD DRIVE? He loves treats (and appreciates ice cream, blue berry muffins, and anything else you might want to share off your plate). Note: He would never snatch food even from a child. 15- PREY DRIVE? It does not seem to be that high, so we will just say standard or average. . 16- WHAT AREAS COULD HE IMPROVE UPON? His experience with other doggies is limited, so proper introduction is a must to access/secure his comfort. 17- ANY POSSIBLE HEALTH CONCERNS? None. 18- IDEAL HOME/IDEAL LIFE? Cesar's ideal home would include a good fenced yard, a nice comfy bed inside, and all the love that he could possibly have. 19- WHAT IS THE BLEEDING HEART SOCIETY? The Bleeding Heart Society refers to the dogs who were not just abandoned by their people, but also by the rescues who promised to save them. Many of them have been abandoned for years (and some their entire lives), in boarding facilities without anyone to advocate for them. THESE DOGS ARE JUST AS ADOPTABLE AS THE PUPS WE HAVE HAVE IN FOSTER HOMES. In most cases they were NOT abandoned because of behavioral or health issues. They are wonderful dogs who have simply been forgotten. These pups are living a life sentence they do not deserve. They are merely existing day in and day out with very limited freedom, joy or companionship. In an effort for our hearts to bleed no more, we are initiating a separate effort to promote these specific pups to those who would like to join us on this mission of restoring their destiny to be in a stable home, to live a life worth living, and to love people worth loving. Only a select number of our dogs are classified under THE BLEEDING HEART SOCIETY. While the scenario is not desirable, these pups certainly are both loveable and adoptable. 20- ANYTHING ELSE? Cesar is an owner-surrender. Owner loves him dearly, and says she is alive today because of him. However, she has so many animals, and does not have space for a larger dog in her tiny space.
