About Smokey

Smokey is a small gray tabby who has been through quite a transition. After being abandoned outside, she struggled with stress and a suspected loss of hearing. A kind family took her in off the porch when they noticed she was getting too thin and not safe out in the elements. Now living indoors, Smokey keeps her distance from other cats, spending most of her time tucked under the couch. When it’s quiet and someone sits nearby, she’ll timidly come out to seek gentle affection—never aggressive, only reserved. She needs a patient adopter who can offer a calm, cat-free home so she can truly settle in and feel at ease. In the right environment, Smokey will reward steady kindness with loving companionship.
