About Howell
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Howell, also known as Ace of Hearts, is blossoming from a shy soul into a playful and loving companion. This sweet, perfectly-sized dog (around 20 lbs) charms with his soft, grey-brown coat and an adorable heart-shaped patch of white on his chest. While he's youthful and enthusiastic about play, his personality is delightfully easygoing and low-maintenance. Currently, Howell bonds most quickly with women and is a bit slower to trust men, but with patience and time, his confidence grows. With his foster mom, Howell is affectionate, obedient, and attentive. He’s cooperative with his harness and extremely gentle on leash, making walks a breeze. Howell enjoys playing with squeaky balls and rag toys, but never gets overly wound up. He’s calm and quiet, only barking occasionally at squirrels or during play. You’ll find him contentedly chewing his bone toy under a bush or happily collecting socks and shoes (but reserving his chewing for his own toys). Howell is well-mannered, house trained, and sleeps soundly in his dog bed. He gets along well with other dogs, demonstrating friendly interest and great manners. His gentle mouth makes treat time safe and pleasant, and he always retreats quietly when feeling uneasy. Howell would thrive in an active home where a female caregiver can lead the way as he opens up and settles in. With time, Howell is sure to become the loving heart of any family. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
