About Samara
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Samara is a striking young black domestic short hair cat whose calm and soulful presence captivates everyone she meets. After being rescued from a dangerous environment along with her siblings, she flourished in her loving foster environment and now feels completely at home in the kitten room. Samara is the calmest of her crew, often choosing to sit quietly beside people, gently nudging your leg as her way of saying hello. She adores the company of other kittens, especially her sisters, and naturally takes on a protective "big sister" role, sometimes perching near the door with a smaller friend as if on watch. Food is one of Samara’s motivators—she’s always first to inspect incoming treats and meals. While she prefers observing playtime over wild chases, she’s mesmerized by toys she can paw at, such as track balls and scratch pads, and enjoys focusing on them quietly. There’s an air of serenity about Samara, reflecting her gentle watchfulness and making her an ideal steady companion for a lucky adopter. With her sweet temperament, she brings a sense of peace to any home. Fun fact: With a birthday in April, Samara is an Aries—known for courage and loyalty, attributes that shine through in her role as big sister. Adopters should expect to visit the shelter in person and reside within 150 miles of Cincinnati. Kittens are best adopted in pairs, and all cats are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. If things don’t work out, the rescue will gladly welcome Samara back at any time. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
