About Gary
Click apply to start the adoption process. Gary and his companion Gracie were born to a stray mother in a local mobile home park, where they got their start during the spring of 2018—a time that marks Gary as a charming Aries, a sign known for its independence! After being taken in by a dedicated caretaker during a TNR project, their foster unfortunately now faces health challenges and can no longer care for them. Ideally, Gary and Gracie will find a loving home together to continue their journey side by side. Gary is seeking an indoor home, unless you participate in the barn cat program. To ensure the best match, home visits are required, and adoptions are limited to about a 45-minute radius from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Iowa residents only, please—no out-of-state adoptions. The Cedar Rapids adoption center operates by appointment only so you can schedule a visit to meet Gary in person. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
