Snowstorm is a tiny but mighty 5-year-old girl who narrowly survived a life-threatening pyometra infection—and she's ready for the soft, spoiled life she has always deserved. After her original owner passed away, Snowstorm was lovingly rehomed with a family member. Sadly, when she developed pyometra, she was ultimately surrendered to our rescue so she could receive the emergency medical care she desperately needed. What is pyometra? Pyometra is a deadly infection of the uterus that affects unspayed female cats. Without immediate surgery, toxins spread through the body, leading to sepsis and death. It's one of the many reasons we strongly advocate for spaying—even for cats who are “inside only.” Before surgery, Snowstorm weighed just 6 lb 12 oz. Her infected uterus alone weighed nearly a full pound—a shocking and painful burden for such a small cat. Emergency surgery saved her life. Today, Snowstorm is thriving in her foster home and recovering beautifully from her near-death experience. She shows her gratitude in the sweetest ways—gentle head bumps, constant rubbing, and affectionate companionship. She loves soft pets, will happily chat with you when she wants attention (or food!), and has an active, curious spirit that makes her feel far younger than her years. Snowstorm may be petite, but her heart is enormous. She's ready to leave survival behind and step into a future filled with comfort, love, and plenty of pampering. After everything she's endured, Snowstorm deserves nothing less than a safe, calm, and spoiled forever home.
