About Keeley

Keeley (or Kiwi, as she’s affectionately known) is on the lookout for a new family after nearly five years in a loving home. Life took an unexpected turn and through no fault of her own, she’s back in need of a fresh start. Originally adopted from Slumdog Rescue Crew, Keeley has spent her time as the only dog in the house. Because of this, she can be reactive when meeting new dogs, but with patient, slow introductions, she does warm up and has even enjoyed the company of other dogs. She will appreciate someone who understands her need to acclimate and who can give her a little brush-up on leash manners. Keeley has lived with children and is current on vaccinations and prevention. She was spayed in 2022. Keeley’s loyalty runs deep—she bonds hard and craves closeness, security, and gentle reassurance. She’d do best with a family who can offer patience and consistency so she feels safe enough to settle in and show her loving side. Keeley is being cared for by her current family until her forever home is found, or she’ll return to rescue in March if needed. Ready to offer Keeley the comfort and companionship she needs?
