Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time*** We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation. Alfie, 8 weeks (estimated DOB November 2025), male, Pitbull/Retriever mix, estimated to be a large size when full grown. He is currently in a foster home in Texas and able to transport to an approved adopter. Alfie and his siblings were rescued with their mom the end of last year. Lilly (mom) was spotted at an abandoned building appearing very pregnant. When she disappeared for a few weeks, rescuers suspected she had her puppies. They found them sometime later on a dirt floor in a barn. Lilly found the safest place she could for her new family. These rescuers made posts asking for rescues to help get this family into a home. Lilly is a brindle Pitbull and we included a picture of her for reference. She is about 55 pounds. We do not know all the breeds this group is mixed with so take your best guesses with us. We also do not know how big any of them will be full grown. We believe they were born middle of November. Alfie is a young puppy with a bright future ahead of him and is looking for a committed family to help him learn, mature, and grow. He is the largest of the litter and is a literal teddy bear. He is interested in exploring. He enjoys some playtime with his siblings, but if a human shows up he beelines to them for cuddles. He is extremely sweet! Because of his young age, Alfie will need a home that understands the time and patience puppies require. He is not yet housebroken or crate trained and will need consistent guidance with potty training, crate training, socialization with other dogs, and leash training when he is old enough. Like most puppies, he currently has sharp little teeth and is still learning appropriate manners. Alfie would likely do very well in a home with another dog to learn from and would also be a great fit for a family with children. He needs a home where someone is around most of the time to meet his needs—this is not a good match for a household where everyone works outside the home all day without support for puppy care.
