About Chook Aka Chaz Jum
Chook, also called Chaz Jum, comes with an Australian-inspired name and a lot of personality packed into his medium-sized pit bull mix frame. His red coat and offbeat ears make him stand out, but it's his journey that really defines him. Chook was pulled from a spot where someone good-hearted tried to foster but bit off more than they could chew. Since landing with current fosters who happen to be dog trainers, Chook has picked up some respectable obedience skills: sit, down, place, and he handles leash guidance well. He starts off shy, but once he trusts you, he turns into a whirlwind of energy and sound, zipping around the yard and making his opinions heard. Chook thrives in homes with older teens and adults; he's far too mouthy and boisterous for small kids. He loves other dogs, sometimes approaches play a bit intensely, but takes redirection easily and genuinely enjoys canine company. He hasn't been tested with cats. Adopt Chook and you’ll receive helpful transition lessons from his fosters to keep up his progress. Chook is in Austin, TX, and ready for his lucky break. Click apply to start the adoption process.
