About Pee Wee

My foster writes: If I didn't know that Pee-Wee was a mom, I would have thought she was a kitten herself! She's teeny tiny, as her name might suggest. And although she's very shy at first, she's super sweet and a careful, agile climber. She's quiet but she definitely has her playful time. And her fur is so, so soft! She loves pets and small, cozy spots. What my friends at ACC say about me: I have lived with cats in my previous home. I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. A volunteer writes: Pee Wee's approach to shelter life may be slightly unconventional and reliant on us seeing the potential that's there, but please believe me it is. Since she really makes a case for herself contrary to the generally held belief to not form relationships based on potential, it's impossible not to give her a chance. Snuggled up in the back of her cubby, Pee Wee crunched herself up against the wall to create space only to later stretch her neck into my hand. Well, let me back up a bit. Pee Wee was brought to us with her kittens (who have since been placed) from a home with many other cats. Shelter life has been a learning experience for her and, because no one really learns on an empty stomach, treats definitely help her to expand her thinking on possibilities. After a squeeze up treat, Pee Wee allowed me to pet her, albeit cautiously. She slowly slinked out of her cubby where we had been and into the main part, but mostly to poke her head back through and nuzzle around for some extra pets. Pee Wee's a fantastic girl who is really banking on someone seeing her potential and if she sounds like the girl for you, maybe come in and meet her?
