About Anchovy
Anchovy is a brave, soulful young tabby who’s endured more than most cats his age. About a year old as of May 2025, his start in life wasn’t simple—an older kitten trapped, waiting for his chance at a real home. His first foster wasn’t the right fit, and Anchovy landed in a new foster home just before winter really set in. He’s shy, and that’s not changing overnight, but he’s figured out that good food means gentle pets and a safe place to purr. Expect a happy rumble from this boy if you offer a snack, though you shouldn’t bank on him becoming a classic lap cat. Anchovy may thrive best with someone who’s okay with a reserved companion—or even someone with a barn who wants to give a loving home to a cat who prefers quiet corners. Anchovy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and house trained. He’s purrs and leans in for attention when dinner is served and could be a great fit for someone patient and kind. Maybe you offer him indoor comforts, maybe you give him a safe spot out in the country—either way, he deserves a home that understands his gentle, shy spirit. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
