Sarge â Tennis
AvailableSarge is a neutered male German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix currently in Caldwell, NJ. He’s an adult, medium-sized shepherd mix with a strong, playful temperament. House trained and vaccinated, Sarge comes ready to join a family that can offer him plenty of playtime and affection. He thrives in an environment with children but needs to be the only dog and should not live with cats. Sarge would appreciate a fenced-in yard for active play.
About Sarge â Tennis
Sarge is a shepherd mix with a big personality and a passion for tennis balls. The foster family jokes about signing him up for the U.S. Open for canines, and it’s easy to imagine—he’s happiest playing fetch, tug of war, and hide and seek. Once his energy is spent, he settles down for a good nap and wants nothing more than some time with his people and a few scratches in his favorite spots. He’s equally content hanging out quietly at home or joining for a walk (sometimes he’ll even bring you his leash as a subtle nudge). Sarge lives for attention, belly rubs, and the energy of a family, especially one that strikes a balance between activity and downtime. He’s crate trained but doesn’t need to be crated when left alone. Fully house trained, with impressive leash manners, and up to date on vaccines, Sarge is ready to move in without much fuss. He’s neutered and does best as the only dog in the house. He gets along with children but should not live with cats. A fenced-in yard gives him a safe space to play, but his loyalty is always with his family. Sarge came to Rescue Haven Foundation due to his previous family’s financial hardship and is looking for a new chapter. Click apply to start the adoption process.
