About Channing

Start your journey together! Apply now. This is the sweetest, most loving 12-year-old little boy named Channing! He adores cuddling and going for walks, showing a gentle and affectionate side that's sure to win hearts. Channing is quick to pick up on new routines—he already responds to phrases like "wanna go outside?", "Let's go," and "It's time for bed." When he first arrived at the shelter and was placed in a noisy pen with several other dogs, he was quite shut down and traumatized. However, after being given time and plenty of love in his foster home, he has blossomed into a warm, social companion. He now enjoys running around with his two larger foster brother dogs, trying his best to play along with their antics. Channing also has three cat siblings more his size and happily snuggles up on the couch with them for TV time. He is easy-going with the groomer and even loves being dressed up in his hoodie. When he first arrived, he favored his right back leg, but this no longer seems to be an issue. Channing is protective of his food and should be fed separately, just to ensure peaceful mealtimes. He recently started on prednisone to shrink a pineal hernia, and he is already neutered. This gentle senior would thrive with a family—preferably with older kids—or with an older couple or single person seeking a cheerful, senior dog companion with a youthful zest for life. Born on September 24th, Channing is a charming Libra, known for his friendliness and social nature. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
