About Sunshine
Sunshine is a sturdy little black and white cat built for cozy afternoons. Four years old and already spayed, she’s initially shy but relaxes quickly and soon checks in on visitors. She has a soft spot for naps and seeks out cushions, blankets, or the nearest sunbeam. She follows her people from room to room, happiest as the only cat in the household, though she can coexist with a mellow, older dog who keeps to themselves. Young, excitable dogs are not her cup of tea. Sunshine isn’t a fan of being picked up and will let you know, but she appreciates a gentle pet. Traditional cat toys don’t interest her much—she prefers to hunt down random hair ties or stray trash to chase. If she gets frustrated, she sometimes gives a love bite, but she’s as sweet as they come. Expect to find her stretched out on the couch, or perched at the window watching bunnies in the yard. She dislikes harnesses but will accept stroller rides without complaint. Counter jumping is still a work in progress, with improvement every week. Sunshine needs an experienced cat person, and a home without small kids is important. She’ll need a lifetime low-dose of prednisolone to manage recurring mouth ulcers, but she takes her meds without complaint. Ready to meet her in Fort Collins?
