Duffy
AvailableDuffy is a medium-sized, adult mixed breed female with a medium coat, currently located in Oak Park, MI. She is not yet spayed and will need some help with house training as she gets used to home life.
About Duffy
Duffy is pure fluff—a shelter favorite, thanks to her adorable face and that plush tail. Most of her life played out behind shelter walls, so she’s still figuring people out. Lately she’s gotten into using her nose, hunting out treats, and working puzzles, which helps her feel braver every day. She’ll need a family willing to let her settle in at her own pace. Rushing her won’t work. If you’re patient and committed to helping her build trust, Duffy will start to show you who she really is. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!

Questions about Duffy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Duffy, a mixed-breed dog, often does best in a calm household with routines and structure. She appreciates a stable space where she can feel secure and settle in gradually, especially after her extended time in a shelter.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Mixed-breed dogs like Duffy are pretty adaptable, but regular access to a fenced yard or daily walks helps meet their exercise and exploration needs. She’ll thrive with time outdoors to sniff, stretch, and build confidence.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Many mixed-breed dogs are fine with kids, though Duffy would do best with older, gentler children who understand her need for slow introductions and space as she adjusts to a new home.
