Meet #Skeeter - Our Tiny Tornado When Skeeter first came to us about a month ago, he was just a scared little stray who wanted nothing to do with people. He stayed in an outdoor kennel for a whole week watching us with those big eyes and that sweet little face that melted all our hearts. We couldn't wait to show him love — but Skeeter wasn’t quite ready for us . Fast forward a few days, and this shy boy finally moved into the shelter... and let's just say, Skeeter made his presence known. With 52 dogs on our adoption floor - most of them big, blockhead pitties — here comes little Skeeter, full of energy and chaos, running the show and all the volunteers ! He hated the leash at first (he thought it was a toy and, well, our hands too but little by little, he's been learning to trust. Every day he lets us in just a bit more. Now, he greets us with tail wags, gives the sweetest kisses through his kennel, and absolutely loves to play with other dogs in the yard. Yes, he's still got that spicy puppy energy — he's a work in progress — but that's what makes him so special. He’s about 30-35 lbs .. and around 1 year old . We'll be taking him to training soon to help him keep learning and growing, because we know this little guy has so much potential. Skeeter would do best in a home with another playful dog and no small children right now - just someone patient, loving, and ready to help him shine. He deserves all the love in the world, and we just know his person is out there waiting.
