Please stop for a moment. Please read this. Doc’s life depends on it. I’ve said this so many times lately, and it hurts every time: If you tell me you want a dog with one brown eye and one blue eye, I can call our shelters and find one. 💔 This time, I didn’t have to call. We have one. Meet Doc. This is Doc. A 2-year-old, 40-lb white Lab mix, with one brown eye and one blue eye, who should be safe, loved, and sleeping on someone’s couch… not waiting in a city shelter for his life to be decided. Doc was found tied to a pole on a busy highway with his best friend Marty (the brown dog in the below video).. Cars speeding by. No escape. Just fear. Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society stepped in and saved Marty from the euthanasia list — and PAWS has found Marty a foster home, he got his miracle, so Marty is safe but Doc is not- he is still at the city shelter. Doc is still waiting. Doc was left behind. He is shy at first — and honestly, who wouldn’t be after what he’s been through? But offer him patience, kindness, a few treats, and you’ll see it: the walls come down. His tail starts to wag. His playful spirit shows up. He does zoomies. He loves the snow. He wants to trust. He wants to live. Right now, Doc sits in a city shelter with no idea how close he is to losing everything. He doesn’t know about euthanasia lists. He doesn’t know what “time is up” means. All he knows is that people keep walking past him… and he’s still alone. Being in a shelter may be better than being tied to a pole, terrified for his life on a busy highway… but it is not the life he deserves. We are begging — we need a foster NOW to pull Doc. Just one person. One couch. One safe place. One heart willing to say yes. He survived being abandoned on a highway. Please don’t let him be forgotten in a shelter. If you’ve ever said, “I wish I could save them all” — this is your moment. If you’ve ever wondered if you could make a difference — you can, right now. Please help us save Doc. Please share. Please foster. Please step up. One person stepping up can save his life. He deserves a real home, real love, and a future that doesn’t end like this. 🐾❤️ 🎥 Videos: https://youtu.be/4-ATZ24xXag https://youtu.be/Ku0miN0AxwA Doc is counting on us. 🐾 DOC • 2-year-old male • ~40 lbs • Beautiful white Lab mix
