About Moth
Moth is one of those cats who makes you smile every time you look at him. He’s been through a lot in his life outside, and while that journey cost him all of his teeth, it never took away his spirit. If anything, it made him even more special. Because he’s toothless, Moth’s tongue is often out in a tiny, permanent blep and it’s ridiculously cute. He’s totally unfazed by it and proudly continues to eat kibble, proving that he’s a lot tougher (and cooler) than he looks. Moth is incredibly gentle with other cats. He does best with friendly, welcoming feline companions. He does not wish to be dominant, and is very sensitive if another cat treats him too rough. He shines in a calm, kind environment. Moth also deals with bowel inflammation and feels best on a simple diet: mostly regular food with a small mix of prescription hydrolyzed food (about 80/20). The good news is he only needs a little of the prescription food each day to keep his tummy happy, so a bag lasts a long time. Affection is Moth’s love language. He’s happiest being carried like a baby for long stretches of time, sitting right on top of you for pets, and showing his belly as a sign of trust. He leans into forehead kisses and melts when you talk to him softly, like he understands every word. Moth hasn’t been tested with dogs, but he could do well in a home with older children who understand that he’s no longer a kitten and needs gentle, respectful care.
