Introducing Skuttlebutt The rescue volunteer said I’m so adorable almost cartoonish. Shaved, mid-shaved, swirly curly mess. All equally adorable. Plus my name. Seriously. Skuttlebutt. What do that even mean? Am I a chatty seagull spilling the tea to a mermaid? Doing the Norman Rockwell phone gossip tree? Oversharing at the office water cooler. Writing in the voice of Lady Whistledown? Or do I simply have a skuttley looking hind end? Well I have no news for you, because unlike cats, dogs don’t gossip. I am a cutie but as with many smaller dogs I’m also a fistful of potential mischief just waiting to happen. I do well hanging with smaller and medium dogs. But I do fancy myself a boss man and over assert my dominance with much large dogs. Foster Mom says I really shouldn’t act bossy to dudes 4 times my size, so she recommends a home with dogs my size that don’t mind a large, relatively speaking, and in charge guy. Foster Mom is teaching me potty, crate and leash walking. I’m not a big fan of being someone’s kept man on the end of a leash, but I am getting better. I do have a free streak about me, so you must have a fenced yard and be on alert if someone opens a door, because I will take the opportunity to dash out. I enjoy to play with toys of any kind. I think I’ve already eluded to this, but I do not enjoy cah…caaaa…oops.. cah cah…cats. Eek. I think I got a hair ball just thinking of them. Although, I’m good with kids, a home where kids understand not to open any doors without first securing me will be necessary so older responsible kids only please.
