About Lilly
Lilly is a gentle, loyal shadow who forms strong bonds and will happily follow you from room to room. She's shy at first but becomes wonderfully affectionate once she feels safe—expect belly rubs, cuddles, and a constant soft presence by your side. Car rides, walks, and curling up next to you are her favorite ways to spend the day. Having canine companions really helps her confidence; she draws comfort from friendly dogs and quickly picks up on their calm energy. Lilly has never shown aggression, though she sometimes barks if she's nervous and needs a little space to settle in. She's mostly housebroken—she’ll signal when it’s time to go out, but can use a puppy pad if needed overnight. Lilly is crate trained and actually does well when crated, though she may need time to adjust when first settling into a new environment. She’s happiest with a couple of daily walks or access to a yard—and she truly loves playing fetch (just not with tennis balls). She shouldn't be left alone for long stretches; a couple of hours at a time is her comfort zone, and containment is best while you're away. For Lilly, treats, chew toys, and a patient approach will go a long way in building trust. Her ideal foster is patient and gentle, with willing canine companions to help her come out of her shell. A meet-and-greet before the transition will help her stay comfortable. Lilly is ready to shine for someone who can help her feel safe. Click apply to start the adoption process.
