About Huey
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Once a nervous pup, Huey has blossomed into a happy, 45-pound bundle of energy who’s eager to get outside, grab a toy, and stretch his legs. Volunteers love his goofy zoomies and the sweet way he leans in for butt scratches—his absolute favorite spot. Huey enjoys walks and is well-behaved on leash, usually paying little attention to other dogs while out and about. He already knows a few commands and is always ready to play, becoming especially enthusiastic once he feels comfortable. While Huey might be shy with new people at first, gentle introductions and patience reveal a joyful, affectionate companion. After a long shelter stay, Huey is ready to find a loving forever home where he can relax, play, and truly be himself. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
