About Valentina
Meet Valentina! This shepherd mix is about two years old and weighs in around 50 pounds, bringing a blend of intelligence, heart, and playful energy that’s tough to beat. She’s house and crate trained, comfortable riding in the car, and walks well on a leash. Valentina shines in a busy, active home—she really enjoys being out and about and benefits from exercise. She’s done wonderfully with both large and small dogs, thriving in the company of other canines, but hasn’t been tested with cats, so a cat-free home makes the most sense. Around kids, Valentina is affectionate and gentle, having spent time with children as young as infants up to age 11. When meeting new people, she may be a bit cautious, but give her a little time and she’ll bond quickly. She prefers a calm environment—raised voices can make her uneasy—so a positive, quieter home suits her best. She’s motivated to please, responsive to direction, and learns quickly when told what’s expected. Valentina is moderate to high energy and happiest when playing outside, fetching balls, or enjoying water with her foster family and their dogs. She came to the rescue underweight and timid, but with steady care, has grown into a healthy, confident, and loving companion. Valentina is spayed, microchipped, and her vaccinations are up to date.
