About Salem
Salem came into care as a tiny newborn after his semi-feral mother was taken in from the outdoors. Born on Easter, Salem has grown into a sleek, black domestic long hair who looks a bit like a little wolf—which earned him the nickname "wolf man." He loves to wrestle and play with his sister Mabel, and their bond is unmistakable. Salem has a fondness for chasing ice cubes across the kitchen floor and patiently waits by the ice machine, hoping for a chilly treat. He’s selective with his affection—he’ll curl up near you and knead his "biscuits," but prefers not to be picked up or held. Salem was adopted but returned after several months when his previous family's young children wouldn’t give him space and pulled at his fur. Despite this, they described him as a sweet cat who loved to greet them in the mornings with meows and to sprawl out for belly rubs. After his return, Salem was immediately reunited with Mabel and both were happier together. The ideal adopter will consider adopting Salem and Mabel as a pair to keep their strong bond intact.
