He spent nearly two years overlooked in a busy shelter environment, arriving back in February 2023 — but through all the noise and long days, his playful spirit and loving heart never faded. This handsome, medium-sized boy is full of energy, affection, and personality. He brings fun wherever he goes and has quickly become a favorite with our team and volunteers alike. Xavier knows his basic commands and is eager to engage with his people. He’s very affectionate, people-friendly, and does great with other dogs his size, best with females. He loves being active — whether it’s fetch, playtime with dog friends, or long walks with his favorite humans. He is a strong leash walker, but he improves significantly when walked using a harness or the proper collar. With the right setup and continued consistency, he’s a fantastic walking and adventure companion. At about 55 pounds, Xavier is the perfect size for someone wanting an active, sturdy, fun-loving best friend without going extra-large.
