Rascal is a 2-year-old, 47-lb mutt with a big personality and an even bigger love for adventure. Always on the go, this high-energy boy is happiest when he’s playing, exploring, or staying busy with his doggie friends. He would do especially well in a home with another high-energy pup who can keep up with his playful spirit. Rascal and his brother Zane were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston, and despite their rough start, they are incredibly sweet, loving dogs. They can be adopted together or separately—either way, Rascal is ready to bring joy, fun, and lots of tail wags to his forever home. In his foster home, Rascal loves running around the yard, play with his toys or play his favorite game "fetch", and finding new “projects” to keep himself entertained. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. He is currently being fostered in Houston but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets.
