About Roscoe

Meet Roscoe, a large, tongueless American Staffordshire Terrier who greets everyone with his "ghost kisses." Found abandoned and in terrible shape, Roscoe’s had a rough start—he survived dehydration, starvation, and horrific neglect, having lost his tongue. Thanks to the care and patience of his rescuers, Roscoe bounced back and now thrives. Despite everything, Roscoe is impossibly gentle and openhearted. Watch his tail start wagging the second he sees you—his eyes radiate trust and gratitude. Roscoe gets along with other dogs of all ages and sizes, and he’s easygoing with everyone he meets. His resilience is clear, but so is his love for soft places, snacks, and companionship. He’s now able to eat refrigerated fresh food, manage kibble, and drink water from a bowl. At five years old, Roscoe is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and recovered from heartworm treatment. He’s living proof that love really does heal.
