About Salem
Sometimes a cat just needs a little encouragement. Salem arrived uncertain about her new surroundings, keeping to a single room while she sized up the situation. She quietly watched and listened, slowly realizing the people around her brought tasty food, gentle words, and attention tailored to each feline. Salem also noticed the other cats rubbing against legs and seeking out affection. That curiosity got her wondering what it would be like to have that for herself. Now, at about a year and a half old, Salem actively seeks out company. She greets staff and volunteers by rubbing against their legs and isnโt shy about rolling over to show how much she enjoys being around people. Playtime has become one of her favorite parts of the day, especially when a wand toy is involved. Salem is ready for life in a real home, where she can be someoneโs steady companion. Ready to give Salem the encouragement she needs to thrive? They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
