About Ozzy
Ozzy is a striking Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever mix searching for a calm and stable forever home. At about 2 years old and weighing around 85 lbs, he is already fully vetted and microchipped. Ozzy truly comes alive in quieter, rural settings where activity is minimal—busy neighborhoods or areas with lots of foot traffic, barking dogs, or children won’t suit him. Instead, he thrives when he can hang outside with his toys and elk antlers, soaking up the peace but coming in when the sun’s too hot. Ozzy enjoys car rides and walks, especially with a gentle leader, and he’s polite on a leash. He gets along with familiar dogs and enjoys a good romp, but needs slow introductions. For his best life, Ozzy needs a savvy, fully fenced home (no invisible fences) and no kids under 16. He’s affectionate with people he trusts but appreciates time to himself, a classic Pyrenees trait. He may be aloof with strangers until he gets a sense of things. Ozzy is improving steadily with his food bowl manners but will need an adopter to continue mindful training in that area, especially where other dogs are around. He does well taking treats from your hand and prefers a cat-free household. Give Ozzy the right setting and he will reward you with loyalty and a unique personality.
