About Freya

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Miss Freya is a truly special soul. She is fully or mostly blind and is likely hard of hearing or deaf, so she needs a patient and loving adopter familiar with unique needs. Once Freya gains trust and feels safe, she becomes a sweet, silly puppy who shines with her energy and playful spirit. Despite her vision loss, she adapts remarkably well to new environments and confidently navigates her space. This affectionate young dog loves to be close to people and thrives on companionship. At about 7 months old and approximately 28 pounds, Freya is still growing and expected to become a medium-sized dog. She enjoys the company of calm, gentle dogs and often feels more secure with another easygoing canine companion. Because Freya can’t read normal social cues, a mellow dog can help guide her through interactions, giving her confidence and stability. Freya does show some separation anxiety and needs a home where she won’t be left alone for long hours. She is currently working on crate training and quickly learning basic commands like "sit." She also walks nicely on leash, responds to cues, and rides well in the car. Freya is presumed to do well with children and enjoys following cats around. Her foster and rescue team are eager to find her a family who will cherish her, celebrate her spirit, and provide the loving and safe home she deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
